Academic Counseling
Students and their parents are encouraged to talk with the school counselor, teacher, or principal to learn about course offerings, the graduation requirements of various programs, and early graduation procedures. Each spring, students will be provided information on anticipated course offerings for the next year and other information that will help to make the most of academic and vocational opportunities.
Personal Counseling
The school counselor is available to assist students with a wide range of personal concerns. The counselor may also make available information about community resources to address student concerns. A student who wishes to meet with the counselor should sign for an appointment in the counselor's office.
Please note: The school will not conduct a psychological examination, text, or treatment without first obtaining the parent's written consent, unless required by state or federal law for special education purposes or by the Texas Education Agency for child abuse investigations and reports.

Scholarship Information
In regards to scholarship and educational opportunities, I have received the following information:
1. South Plains College – Deadline is March 1.
2. West Texas A&M University – Deadlines: Early Action, December 1, 2008 / Priotrity Date, February 1, 2009.
3. Angelo State University –Carr Academic Scholarship due by February 1 / Completed online
4. Texas Tech University – Students complete the application for general scholarships when they submit the Texas Common Application for Admission at www.applytexas.org ; the deadline is February 1.

5. USA Funds – Applications will be accepted December 15 to February 15.
6. FFA Scholarships – You must be a member of the FFA. Must be submitted by February 15.
